TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM

PROBABLE CAUSE

SOLUTIONS

The «beep» and alarm light

are intermittent / fast.

The stopping pawl is blocked

on the ratchet cam.

Low voltage.

One of the NEUTRAL/

REVERSE sensors has

failed.

Engage the PTO and try again (the pawl may be

blocked by the ratchet cam.

Check for loose connections. Clean all connections

with contact cleaner spray.

Make two or three tests in REVERSE. If the «beep»

keeps on for more than 5 seconds, the cycling ther-

mal breaker that sets the solenoid amperage to 8

amps indicates an error in the system. Wait four to

five minutes to allow it to cool down before testing

again.

Switch off the tractor engine and the 12-volt pow-

er supply. Check the solenoid rubber protector for

damages and make sure the plunger still engages

in the solenoid.

Clean the solenoid plunger. If the internal micro

switch fails, replace the solenoid. Refer to page 102

for the verification procedure.

Check if the solenoid is switched on, if the chain

gets loose when you pull back the stop pawl manu-

ally (you have less than five seconds to test it be-

fore it resets). Refer to page 102 for the verification

procedure.

Connect to a good battery or power source.

Check the sensor light for normal operation. Check

the REVERSE/ NEUTRAL adjustments. Replace if

necessary.

The «beep» and alarm light

are intermittent.

Normal metal detection.

Follow the recoended machine stopping procedure.

Remove the metal object and re-initialize the metal

detection system.

The alarm «beep» and light

are continuous or irregular

for no reason.

Defective breakers, switch-

es, electrical wires and plugs,

electronic board.

Check all components for possible failures. The

electronic board should be serviced by a qualified

technician approved by the manufacturer.

The metal detection

system is not functioning

Many causes are possible.

Check condition of all components, connections

and adjustments. If the system is still not operating

properly, call a qualified technician approved by the

manufacturer.
