ADJUSTMENTS - MAINTENANCE

MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE FOR THE FAN 

BOTTOM PLATE ASSEMBLY

1. Remove rear guards.
2. Take out the upper cracker roll if installed in the For-

age Harvester.

3. Remove the lower roll half bottom plate of the crack-

er roll (nine bolts). Refer to page 149.

4. Remove all bolts holding the fan bottom plate (nine

bolts on each side and five bolts on the discharge

housing.

5. Unbolt both fan shaft bearings (item 1) and remove

the two support plates (item 2) (one thin and one

thick), on each side.

6. Unlock and unscrew the adjustment bolt (item 3) on 

the front side of each bearing.

7. Lift the fan on both sides simultaneously, as shown,

with two metal bars (item 4) and two pieces of wood

(item 5).
