CORN CRACKER Q.D. BUSHINGS - FIGURE 217
The sheaves (item 2) on the cracker rolls are equipped
with Q.D. bushings (item 3). Bolts (item 1) are also used
for tightening or dismantling the Q.D. bushings. When
changing holes, bolts are used as a puller. Proceed
gradually and by sequence for tightening or dismantling;
example: first, second, and third bolts then repeat this
sequence until proper tightening is achieved. DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN BOLTS TO AVOID DAMAGES ON
Q.D. BUSHINGS. WRENCH TORQUE FOR 1/4” BOLT
IS 9 FT-LBS (12 N-m).
When installing, use the threaded holes on the Q.D.
bushings and the non-threaded holes on the sheaves.
For dismantling, use the threaded holes on the sheaves
and tighten by sequence.
