21.1 Introduction to NIBP Service Testing
Caution
: Only qualified service personnel should perform the following tests on the equipment.
The information in this section is intended to assist Dictum Health service personnel with performing service
tests on the IDM100 Medical Tablet NIBP component.
These procedures are applicable to all module types, but certain customizations may necessitate alterations to
this procedure.
Please contact Dictum Health if you have any questions.
21.2 NIBP Pump Pressure Test
Prepare to manually perform a pump pressure accuracy test:
1. Stage equipment for the test:
•
Calibrated Manometer (optional
– may use pressure values supplied by NIBP module)
•
Pneumatic “T” Adapters
•
Volume (500 mL rigid bottle)
•
Hand Bulb
•
Connection Tubing
2. Understand the role of volume in the test:
•
Volume is added to the pneumatic system so that the user has more control of the pressure
increments when using the hand bulb.
•
If no volume is added, unwanted overpressure errors may occur.
3. Apply the Pass Criteria to the Test:
International standards for automated NIBP devices require that the accuracy range of the pressure
device must not exceed ± 3 %.
To manually perform a pump pressure accuracy test:
1.
Connect a manometer, volume, and the hand bulb to the module using “T” adapters.
