15.5 3-Lead ECG Test
Ensure that the ECG Options in the Medical Device Settings menu are set. For more information, see section
4.2.1
Position the patient appropriately for the ECG as follows:
•
Help the patient get comfortable, relaxed, and warm.
•
Explain to the patient the need to be still because excessive movement can interfere with the
operation of the electrocardiograph.
•
Ensure that the patient is in a reclining position with head slightly higher than the heart and legs.
