boot Sets the default boot path.
console Selects the system console.
- If you set the console to s, the system uses a terminal
connected to the printer connector as the console.
- If you set console to any value other than s, the system
automatically configures the console.
haltaction Specifies which action to take if the system halts.
- b causes the console to boot after the console halts.
- h causes the console to halt and attempt no other action if
the system halts.
- r causes the console to restart, then attempt a boot if the
restart fails.
more Sets the screen size.
- Specify zero (0) to suppress the ‘‘more’’ pagination.
- Specify a number other than zero to turn on the ‘‘more’’
pagination.
osconsole Contains the slot numbers of the console drivers. If a tty
driver from slot x serves as the console, osconsole is set to x.
If a crt driver from slot y and a kbd driver from slot z serve
as the console, osconsole is set to y,z.
Although the environment variable display includes the
osconsole setting, you can not set this variable. The system
automatically sets the osconsole value.
testaction Specifies the type of power-up self-test that the system runs.
- Specify q to run a quick test when the power-up self-test
runs.
- Specify t to specify a thorough test when the power-up
self-test runs.
# Specifies the slot number of the module that contains the
current script. If no script is active, the system specifies the
base system module, which has slot number 7.
Although the environment variable display includes the #
setting, you can not set this variable.
