IP Settings (Ethernet)
IP address of this AP
Sets the IP address of the AP. The factory default setting is
specified on a sticker on the AP case. Always set the IP address.
When setting via a LAN using a browser running on a PC, the
network address of the AP must be the same as the network address
of the PC.
Subnet mask
If using a subnet, specify the subnet mask.
Default gateway
Specify the IP address of the router for the network to which the AP
belongs.
Broadcasting style
Sets the broadcast style and fill pattern.
The broadcast style can be set to “ALL” or “NET”. The factory
default setting is “ALL”.
The fill pattern can be set to “0” or “1”. The factory default
setting is “1”.
It is recommended that you always set the broadcast style to “ALL”
and the fill pattern to “1”.
IP Settings (Wireless)
Wireless IP setting
If using the AP as a brouter, you must set the IP layer settings
separately for the wireless side (1 max.) and wired side. These
settings setup the IP layer for the wireless side. When using the
AP as an inter-segment brouter, you need to setup the IP layers for
each connected network (16 max.).
Wireless interface
If the wireless interface is set to “Dynamic” in brouter or inter-
segment brouter mode, IP interfaces on the wireless side that are not
connected are treated as being down. The factory default setting is
“Normal”.
