Interconnection Mode
A wireless LAN can be configured that includes wireless equipment
from other vendors that has Wi-Fi approval. All communication
between wireless terminals goes via the AP.
Note!
Interconnection mode does not guarantee the ability to interconnect
to Wi-Fi compliant products from other vendors.

Like standard mode, all wireless terminals communicate via unit
type APs in interconnection mode. As the roaming function is
supported, terminals can log in to any unit type AP within range.
As the unit type APs operate as simple bridges, proprietary FX-
DS110-APE functions cannot be used.
APs with the station unit type can log in to APs from other vendors
that support Wi-Fi. In this case, only one terminal can have a
wired connection to the station AP.
- Advantages
(1) Can be used with wireless equipment from other vendors
that has Wi-Fi approval.
- Disadvantages
(1) Proprietary FX-DS110-APE functions such as IP tunneling
cannot be used.
