List of reserved IP subnets
Some IP subnets are reserved for internal use in the terminal. If any of these addresses are
assigned to external equipment connected to the terminal, the terminal and connected
equipment will not be able to communicate.
1. The following local IP subnets are
reserved for internal use
in the terminal and cannot
be assigned to connected equipment:
192.168.1.x
and
192.168.2.x
-where x can be any number from 0 to 255.
The netmask for these subnets is 255.255.255.0.
2.
Do not use 0 nor 255
at the least significant bit position (rightmost) in the IP address
for connected equipment.
3. Furthermore the following local IP addresses are
reserved
and cannot be assigned to
connected equipment:
192.168.50.1
192.168.51.1
192.168.52.1
192.168.53.1
192.168.54.1
192.168.55.1
192.168.56.1
192.168.57.1
192.168.58.1
192.168.59.1
192.168.60.1
192.168.61.1
192.168.61.2
192.168.61.3
192.168.61.4
