6. Detach accelerator cable extension spring(s) (Figure 5-5, Page 5-2) . See following NOTE.
NOTE: Later models have a second spring attached to a unique cable end bolt that is taller and grooved.
7. Loosen cable clamp that secures accelerator cable (Figure 5-6, Page 5-2) . This will allow additional travel so that
the cable can be disconnected at pedal.

8. Remove bow-tie locking pin and washer securing each end of brake pedal pivot rod to bracket (Figure 5-7,
Page 5-3) .
