14. Loosen the lock nuts securing the transaxle to the subframe but do not remove the hardware at this time (Figure
17-14, Page 17-4) and (Figure 17-15, Page 17-4) .

15. Place a floor jack under the transaxle/subframe to support it while removing the rear subframe hardware (Figure
17-16, Page 17-5) . It will also be used to lower the subframe.
16. Loosen the front subframe hardware (Figure 17-17, Page 17-5) . The subframe will pivot on these bolts.
