GENERAL INFORMATION
The UV30C model transaxle is designed for both forward and reverse power with splined input and output shafts
(Figure 17-1, Page 17-1 and Figure 17-2, Page 17-1)
. 4x4 models have an added PTO unit mounted on the
passenger-side to drive the front differential.

RATIOS
Final Drive Ratio:
Forward - 18.186:1; Reverse - 34.371:1
PTO Ratio (4x4 version only):
Forward - 3.529:1;
Reverse - 6.669:1
Approved Lubricant:
SAE 10W-30 API Service Class SF, SG, SH, SJ or higher.
TRANSAXLE REMOVAL
The transaxle can be removed from the rear of the vehicle by allowing the subframe to swing down.
1.
Disconnect battery and spark plug wire(s).
See Disconnecting the Battery – Gasoline Vehicles on page 1-4.
2.
Lift and support the rear of the vehicle at the highest setting of the jack stands and remove the rear wheels.

3.
Remove the seat bottom.
