ENGINE
What To Do
If normal condition exists, operate the vehicle as usual, and the movement should gradually lessen and soon come to
an end.
If abnormal conditions exist, perform the following steps in the order shown:
1.
Do a quick check of throttle bellcrank movement:
1.1. Disable the vehicle.
See Disabling the Vehicle on page 1-3.
1.2. Raise the cargo bed and secure with the bed locking pin.

1.4. Push accelerator pedal to the floor and hold.
1.5. Verify the throttle bellcrank makes a positive stop against the mounting bracket tab
.
1.6. If the throttle bellcrank contacts the positive stop too early or not at all, perform the accelerator cable
adjustment first.
See Accelerator Cable Adjustment – Through Early-2012 Model Year on page 5-7.
If
the throttle bellcrank contacts the positive stop tab correctly, proceed to the next step.
2.
Perform idle speed adjustment procedure.
See Idle Speed Adjustment on page 13-6.
3.
Perform high speed adjustment procedure.
See High Speed Adjustment on page 13-9.
4.
If idle speed and/or high speed adjustment is not capable of meeting specified RPM, reset governor lever and
perform steps 1 through 3 again.
See Governor Lever Reset Adjustment on page 13-16.
