5. Reconnect the wire harness to the key switch. Ensure that the connector is installed correctly and is tight. If
it is not, repair or replace as necessary.

TEST PROCEDURE 16 – Carburetor Solenoid Circuit
See General Warning on page 1-2.
NOTE: Keep the battery connected while performing this test procedure.
1. Check the carburetor solenoid coil circuit.
1.1. Turn the key switch OFF. Place the Forward/Reverse handle in NEUTRAL and set the park brake. Chock
the wheels.
1.2. Disconnect the red wire (w122) at the white bullet connector located near the voltage regulator (Figure
11-42, Page 11-31) .
1.3. Disconnect the 16-gauge green wire (w110) from the starter solenoid coil to prevent the vehicle from
unintentionally starting (Figure 11-43, Page 11-31) . See following WARNING.
WARNING
• Failure to disconnect the wire from the solenoid coil could result in an unexpected engine start
when performing this test.
