Testing the Lockout Cam
See Test Procedure 23, Section 11, Page 11-38.
Lockout Cam Removal
1. Disconnect the battery cables, negative cable (–) first (Figure 12-1, Page 12-2).
2. Remove the external snap ring (14) (Figure 12-21, Page 12-19).
3. Remove the plastic washer (12) and the spring (13).
4. Remove the cam (11).
Lockout Cam Installation
1. Install the cam (11) (Figure 12-21, Page 12-19).
2. Install the spring (13) and the plastic washer (12).
3. Install the external snap ring (14) onto the shaft. Be sure the snap ring is installed in the groove on the
shaft. Also be sure that the cam is installed so that the lockout limit switch is activated only when the
Forward/Reverse handle is in the NEUTRAL position.
4. Connect battery cables, positive cable first and tighten the terminals to 20 ft-lb (27.1 N·m). Coat termi-
nals with Battery Protector Spray (CCI 1014305).

Testing the Reverse Warning Buzzer

Reverse Warning Buzzer Removal
1. Disconnect the battery cables, negative cable (–) first (Figure 12-1, Page 12-2).
2. Remove the dash panel. See Key Switch Removal on page 12-15.
3. Disconnect the wires from the reverse warning buzzer (2) (Figure 12-22, Page 12-21).
4. Remove the screw (3) and nut (4) securing the buzzer to the vertical frame support.
Reverse Warning Buzzer Installation
1. Install the screw (3) through the buzzer (2) bracket tab and secure with nut (4). Tighten to 14 in-lb (1.6
N·m) (Figure 12-22, Page 12-21).
NOTE: The reverse warning buzzer is secured at one hole only.
