AXLE SHAFT AND OIL SEAL REMOVAL
1. Loosen the lug nuts on the wheel to be removed.
2. Place chocks at the front wheels and lift the rear of the vehicle with a floor jack. Then place jack stands
under the axle tubes to support the vehicle. See WARNING on page 16-1.
3. Remove the rear wheel and brake drum.
4. Using 90° internal snap ring pliers (.090 tip), remove internal retaining ring from axle tube (Figure 16-5,
