offsite phones for users who do not work at the central or
branch offices.

Remote Users

You can configure multiple branches for a central site. If you have multiple sites, you first configure the
central site and then the remote sites. The following table describes the fields on the Sites page (

Description

Field

Specifies the name of your site.

The Central site is configured during the first Time
Setup.

Note

Name

Specifies the description provided for the site while
configuration.

Description

Specifies the type of the site.

• Central—For Central site

• Branch—For Remote and Remote User sites

Type

The following actions are available corresponding to the site:

• Edit—Click to edit the corresponding site configuration.

• Delete—Click to delete the corresponding site

configuration.

A progress bar indicates the status of the update or deletion
of the site. If you refresh or open a new browser window to
access the Administrative Interface or the User Preferences
Interface while the site is being deleted, a message displays
that the system update is currently in progress and the
administrative interface will not be available until the site is
deleted.

If there is a failure while updating or deleting the site, the
message “Update\Deletion failed—System will Restart”
displays and the system restarts to recover. The failure
indicates the problem with the system configuration.

Cisco recommends that you contact the Cisco
Technical Assistance Center for assistance in case
of a failure.
