Monitoring Disinfectant Potency
The disinfectant potency must be verified for each disinfection cycle. Use a peracetic acid test strip to verify that
the retained disinfectant sample from the DSD EDGE
®
Endoscope Reprocessor sample port is above the minimum
recommended concentration (MRC).
Endoscope Precleaning and Testing
All endoscopes must be manually precleaned prior to disinfection. Follow the endoscope manufacturer instructions and
established professional guidelines to properly preclean the endoscope.
• Endoscopes with elevator wire channels require additional manual cleaning and disinfection steps.
• Leak test endoscopes prior to disinfection procedures.
Electromagnetic Compatibility
The DSD EDGE Endoscope Reprocessor meets all safety requirements of International standard IEC 60601-1-2 for
medical electric equipment and is suitable for use in laboratory environments.
Caution!
Portable and mobile communication devices can affect
electrically-operated medical equipment.
