Copying Problems
The MultiPASS will not make a copy.
An ink tank in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge may be empty.

Replace empty ink tanks as necessary (see
page 7-33
).
You may be trying to make copies with the incorrect BJ cartridge installed in the unit.

The MultiPASS cannot make copies in black & white while the BC-22e Photo BJ Cartridge is
installed. Replace the BJ cartridge with the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge or a BC-20 Black BJ
Cartridge.

The MultiPASS cannot make copies in color while a BC-20 Black BJ Cartridge is installed.
Replace the BJ cartridge with the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge or if you want to copy using
photo ink, replace the BJ cartridge with a BC-22e Photo BJ Cartridge.
The handset of the telephone or extension phone may be off hook.

Make sure the handset is in its cradle.
The document may not have been fed correctly into the ADF.

Remove the document, stack it if necessary, and feed it into the ADF correctly (see
page 4-8
).

Make sure the operation panel is closed.
■
Check that the document feed lever is set for the type of document you are copying (see
page 4-6
).
