Clearing Paper Jams

If paper is jammed in the tray area follow the procedure on pages 145
to 146.

If you cannot easily reach the paper to clear the jam, slowly pull the jammed paper out
from the front, as shown in the figure.
• Do not pull the jammed paper upwards when removing it from the printer.
This could damage the paper sensor.
• If the paper does not come out easily, do not attempt to force it. Follow the
instructions from step 2 of the Paper Cassette Area description to remove
the jammed paper (see page 150).
