Rock the cartridge 5 or 6 times to distribute the toner evenly.

If toner is not evenly distributed inside the cartridge, it can cause streaking
or fading on the printed page.

Place the toner cartridge on a flat, stable surface.

Holding the cartridge in place with one hand, use the other hand to snap the tab on the
end of the toner cartridge towards the back of the cartridge to release it.
