9A656-04/9A686-04 Configuration Guide
VCI (Modifiable)
Used to enter the VCI of the source end of the SPVC (VCL). If the 9A686-04 is using the
default ILMI settings, the available range for this field is between 33 and 16k.
ATM ADDRESS (Modifiable)
Used to enter the ATM Address of the destination end of the SPVC (VCL) or SPVP (VPL).
ATOM Persistence is: (Read-only)
Displays the current setting of ATOM Persistence. This field will display “ON” or “OFF”.
“ON” signifies that in the event that the 9A686-04 module or SmartSwitch 9500 chassis is
reset, this SPVC or SPVP will still exist after boot up. “OFF” signifies that if the module or
chassis is reset, this SPVC or SPVP will be lost upon boot up. The default setting for this field
is “ON”.
CREATE VPL (Command)
Creates the destination end of the SPVP using the values entered in the INTERFACE, VPI
and ATM ADDRESS fields.
CREATE VCL (Command)
Creates the destination end of the SPVC using the values entered in all of the fields on the
screen.
TOGGLE PERSISTENCE (Toggle)
Sets the Atom Persistence is: field to either “ON” or “OFF”. “ON” signifies that in the event
that the 9A686-04 module or SmartSwitch 9500 chassis is reset, this SPVC or SPVP will still
exist after boot up. “OFF” signifies that if the module or chassis is reset, this SPVC or SPVP
will be lost upon boot up.
NOTE
If the ILMI settings have been changed from the default values, the available range
for this field depends on the current ILMI settings. Refer to
Section 2.17
and
Chapter 3
for more information on ILMI.
