MODULE REMOVAL
This command notifies the SmartSwitch 9500 chassis that this 9A686-04 is about to be
removed from the chassis. This allows the rest of the 9A686-04s installed in the chassis to
continue switching traffic while this module is removed. If this command is not performed
before a module is removed, the remaining 9A686-04s will briefly stop switching traffic in
order to go through an initialization process to determine which interface module will become
the module that performs specific management functions.
To use the Module Removal command, perform the following steps:
1.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the MODULE REMOVAL command.
2.
Press ENTER. The module may now be removed from the chassis. Refer to the 9A686-04
Hardware and Installation Guide for instructions on removing a module.
