The PNNI Configuration Screen
2.16.2 Setting the PNNI Mode
To set the PNNI Mode, perform the following steps:
1.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the PNNI Mode field.
2.
Press the SPACE bar to step through the available options until the desired mode displays.
3.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command at the bottom of the screen.
4.
Press ENTER. The system reboots.
2.16.3 Setting the NSAP Prefix
To set the NSAP Prefix, perform the following steps:
1.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the NSAP Prefix field.
2.
Enter the desired NSAP Prefix.
3.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command at the bottom of the screen.
4.
Press ENTER, the changes are saved, and the system resets.
2.16.4 Setting the PNNI Level
To set the PNNI Level, perform the following steps:
1.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the PNNI Level field.
2.
Enter the desired PNNI Level.

After completing the following steps, the entire SmartSwitch 9500 will reset and all
current switching being performed by the system will be halted.

NOTE
Depending on the setting of the PNNI Mode field, the NSAP prefix field will only
display the maximum amount of modifiable bytes that are allowed for that particular
setting.

CAUTION
If there are multiple 9A686-04s in the chassis, and the PNNI Mode has been set to
MANUAL, use 104 as the PNNI level.
After completing the following steps, the entire SmartSwitch 9500 will reset and all
current switching being performed by the system will be halted.
