Section 5

Bonding

Your boat’s bonding system starts with a bronze plate

located below the water line at the center of the tran-

som. A #8 awg green cable connects the bronze plate

to the negative buss system. The fuel tank, fuel fill,

control console, engine crash rail, leaning post, and

transom cap are also connected to the negative buss

system with #8 awg green cables.

Also directly connected to the bonding system are any

shielded cables from electronic devices. This helps

dissipate radio frequency interference generated by

various electronic devices.

Note: All bonding wires and cables are

green
