"Axis filter" tab
Fig.6-27:
The "Axis filter" tab in the "Options" dialog of the control "Zero Axis Se‐
lection Reference Position"
In the "Axis filter" tab, the three important characteristics "System number",
"System axis name" and "Chan. association" are displayed for all axes that can
be parameterized. In the "Axis hidden", column, the user can hide or show the
channel-respective axes in the axis selection display by selection/deselection.
When showing an axis in the display, the axis is automatically se‐
lected.
To change the properties, the user has to have the user right "Ma‐
chine - NC screen \ Zero Reference Position - Axis filter".
Determining the Zero Point
Overview on Determining the Zero Point
The function "Determine zero point" is in the standard or after con‐
verting old projects. It is in the operating area "Prepare" and can be
called via <F2>.
The "Determine zero point" function allows the user to determine the zero point
values (G54 to G59) for the respective axes by an experimental "sampling" of
a tool at a workpiece and to apply the result to the CNC. This results in a direct
relation between the zero point, the workpiece dimensions and the tool correc‐
tion values of the active tool.
Tool correction types
The zero point can be determined using the tool correction types 1 to 4 (drilling
tools, milling tools, turning tools and angle head tools) with the help of a touch
probe.
Axes and planes
The zero points can be determined for the axes defined (e.g.: X_Y_Z,A_B_C)
in the machine parameters.
The planes G17, G18 and G19 are supported. In case of a changed length
correction values assignment by machine parameters "G47( )", these are con‐
