The <CR> Next Item Command
Configurable items may be automatically configured in the following sequence:
Synchronous Ports (0, 1)
Asynchronous Ports (2 through 33, depending on the number and type of async boards installed)
Logical Units (0, 2 through 32)
When the Enter Item(s) To Be Configured: prompt is displayed, the <Enter> key alone will increment to
the next item in the above sequence. This is particularly useful the first time the LinkUp 5294 must be
configured, as it eliminates the need to type in each item separately.
The STATUS Command
Enter this in answer to the Enter Item To Be Configured prompt to display a table of all the LinkUp
5294 ports and LUs and their respective operating states and device types. (Refer to
Section 8.2
for
further information about this table.)
The Status Screen is shown on the top of the next page.
The PORT n Command
Enter this at the
Enter Item To Be Configured:
prompt, where n is the number of a LinkUp 5294
physical port (either synchronous [0 or 1] or asynchronous [2 through 33]). If PORT is entered by itself,
the LinkUp 5294 displays the next incremented PORT number, based on the one you last configured.
