to save the configuration member and return to Display 1.0.
SETCOMM Procedure
It may be necessary to change certain characteristics of the communications line before loading the
communications configuration member. You can use the SETCOMM procedure to change certain items.
To use SETCOMM, go to the main help menu of Step 1. Enter SETCOMM at the Ready for option
number or command prompt, and the available parameters will be displayed. If changes are made, you
must reboot the system before these changes become effective. Each parameter is optional; if not
specified, the preset system values remain unchanged.
5.0 CONFIGURATION MEMBER MENU
Select one of the following:
1.Work with display stations and printers
2.Add or delete program products, optional SSP, and SSP
features
3.Define base SSP values
4.Specify sizes for disk VTOC, history file, and task work
area
If no more changes are to be made to your configuration
member, select the following option:
5.Save configuration member and return to main menu for
CNFIGSSP

D.3 Changing the Master Configuration Record

NOTE
Changing the Master Configuration Record requires a dedicated system. No other
programs can be running on the system. Use the STATUS command to check for any
system activity. Use the STOP WORKSTN command at the system console to ensure
that any operators currently signed on to the system cannot start jobs or put jobs on
the job queue. Make sure all local and remote devices are off-line (signed off).
