1. The port on the rear of the IBM 3151 farthest from the powa cord is the standard EIA interface

(main port).

2. The other port on the rear of the IBM 3151 is used for the Auxiliary Printer feature. For a description

of this feature, see the appropriate User’s Guide.

3. The pacing function (flow contol) on the IBM 3151 main port is performed only when the

communication parameter, Line Control, is set to either PRTS or IPRTS. The flow control options on
the LinkUp 5294 should be set to XON.
