Option A:
Type the name of the configuration member to contain the line configuration, or use the
member name already displayed, which is the name of the last configuration member applied to the
master configuration record.
Option B:
Type the name of the library where the configuration member is stored. The example at the
top of the next column uses #CNFGLIB as the configuration library. The #CNFGLIB is a system library,
denoted by the # preceding the library name. It is suggested you use this library for all configuration
members on the System/36 in order to maintain consistency and accountability.

To change an existing configuration member (Option 1 in Step 3) go to Step 5. If you create a new
configuration member because one does not currently exist (Option 2 in Step 3) menu 4.0 will be shown
(see below). Select Option 2 (the configuration is in the master configuration record). This option
makes an exact duplicate of the master configuration record for modification.
NOTE
Do not select Option 1 (Standard System/36 configuration (with base default values)).
This option is used only when you are creating a configuration member that you want
to use for a different system.
4.0 CONFIGURATION MEMBER DEFINITION - NEW
The new configuration member is based on:
1. Standard System/36 configuration (with base default values)
2.The configuration in the master configuration record
3.Previously created configuration member

Step 4), or the configuration member you specified (Option 1 from Step 4).
Make any changes to the the description of the configuration member and press <Enter>.
