Basic notes
You must have read and understood the operating
manual to be able to safely install and use the product!
In addition to this manual, the generally applicable and local
regulations of the energy supply companies, accident prevention
regulations and the environmental protection regulations must also
be observed.
The user must have access to this operating manual at all times.
Special attention must be paid to the safety instructions. This
includes transport, operation, maintenance and disposal.
The operator must ensure that this operating manual is
permanently available at the product
and that the personnel who work with the product are aware of the
directives stated in this operating manual.
The safety and danger instructions on the product must not be
manipulated.
1.1
Applicability
This operating manual is intended for electrotechnically trained
persons and qualified electricians.
1.2
Document storage
Keep this operating manual in a safe place.
In case of an operator change, the documentation must be passed
on to the successor.
1.3
Purpose of the operating manual
The operating manual describes how the appliance tester can be
put into operation safely and thus defines the intended and safe
use of the product. The applicable provisions, regulations and
standards shall be authoritative for testing by means of the
appliance tester.
1.4
Special notes
In this operating manual, the storage battery (accumulator) is
referred to as battery. For reasons of better readability, the
consistent use of gender-equitable formulations has been avoided.
Warranty
Warranty or guarantee claims and the warranty period depend on
the respective contractual relationship as well as on the general
terms and conditions of the manufacturer. Details about the
manufacturer’s warranty can be found in the contractual
agreements. Warranty and liability claims are generally excluded if
damage is due to incorrect assembly, improper use or force
majeure. The information in this operating manual has been
checked carefully. However, no liability can be assumed for errors.
If any prescribed services are not performed regularly or not on
time according to manufacturer specifications during the warranty
period, a decision about a warranty claim can only be made once
the findings are available.
Liability exclusion
The manufacturer has checked the contents of the documentation
for compliance with the hardware and software described.
Nevertheless, errors cannot be excluded, meaning that the
manufacturer does not assume any liability for absolute
compliance. The contents of this documentation are checked at
regular intervals and any necessary corrections will be included in
the versions that follow. Any improper use of the product will lead
to cancellation of the warranty, the guarantee and the general
liability of the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not liable for
damage as a result of non-observance of this operating manual.
The product may only be opened by an experienced electrician, if
this is at all permitted. The electrician must be familiar with and
adhere to the standards and regulations of the supply companies
and the work safety regulations.
Any use other than that described in the documentation is
considered to be incorrect. The manufacturer is not responsible for
resulting damage.
Modifications to the product or the documentation are forbidden.
Software changes
If a software change is performed without the knowledge and
approval of the manufacturer, the warranty and guarantee claim
becomes void.
Hardware changes
If changes are made to the housing or other system components
without the knowledge and approval of the manufacturer, the
warranty and guarantee claim becomes void.
Figures and drawings
For general illustrative purposes, this operating manual includes
figures and drawings. The functional possibilities and
representations can deviate from the present product.
Trademarks
All trademarks used, even if these are not marked separately, are
the property of their respective owners and are hereby
acknowledged.
Legal claims
Any liability on the part of the manufacturer for consequential
damage arising from improper use or incorrect installation of the
product is expressly excluded.

Declaration of conformity
The EU Declaration of Conformity can be requested
from the manufacturer.

Identification
The type plate indicating the series number is located inside the
housing (on the left next to the connections for peripheral devices).
If you have any queries, please always state the product
designation and the series number.
