Warranty terms
The
BENNING ST 755/ ST 760
is subject to stringent quality
testing. In case of faults with regard to correct functioning, we
grant the statutory manufacturer’s warranty. Manufacturing faults
or material defects shall be eliminated by us free of charge as far
as the device shows malfunction without external influence and is
returned to us without having been opened. Damages caused by
falls or incorrect use are excluded from warranty.

Maintenance / calibration
30.1
Maintenance
Disconnect the appliance tester from the mains supply
before cleaning.
The
BENNING ST 755/ ST 760
appliance tester does not require
any special maintenance. Please make sure that the surface near
the connector contacts and the touchscreen is clean and dry. For
cleaning, use a slightly moistened cloth. Do not use any cleaning
agents, abrasives or solvents.
Switch the appliance tester off if there is a malfunction/ error
message or if it is displayed on the touchscreen.
Check all cable connections and check whether the device is
supplied properly.
Then, start the appliance tester again.
If the error message/ malfunction persists, contact the
Technical
support
at the service number stated in chapter 31.
30.2
Calibration
According to VDE 0701-0702, the following applies as of

June 2008:
"The measuring instruments used for periodic testing shall be
tested and calibrated regularly."
Make an appointment with us for testing and calibrating your
testers.
For this purpose, contact the
Technical support
at the service
number stated in chapter 31.
Send in the device in its original packaging only.
Transport damages due to improper packaging are
excluded from warranty.
30.3
Acceptance of returns and environmentally sound
disposal
The appliance tester is a product of category 9 (monitoring and
control instruments) as defined in the German "ElektroG"
(Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act).
This device is not subject to the RoHS Directive.
In compliance with WEEE 2002/96/EC and the German "ElektroG"
(Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act), we mark our electrical
and electronic devices with the following symbol according to
EN 50419 (as of 8/2005).
These devices must not be disposed of via the
domestic waste. With regard to the return of waste
electrical devices, please contact the

30.5
Return
Make sure that the device is shipped in the admissible original
packaging only.
In case the original packaging is no longer available, please
contact the corresponding contact person of the returns
management (see chapter 31).
For dispatch of the
BENNING ST 755/ ST 760,
an appropriate
outer package
and two
molded parts
are required to secure the
device during transport.
Transport damages due to improper packaging are excluded from
warranty.
