Individual tests
15.1
General notes
Before starting a test, the manufacturer's
specifications in the accompanying documents of
the test sample must be observed.
Specification, selection and order of the individual
tests are determined by the responsible qualified
electrician.
Changed limits and test times remain active only for
the duration of the individual test.
The limits preset in the factory correspond to the
normative specifications that have been applicable at
the time of printing.
The testing of cables must always be carried out with
the cables being unreeled (e. g. in case of cable reels)!
Temporary limits
The current test values of an individual test are displayed on
the corresponding screen in the marked area.
Example: “
VDE 0701-0702: RPE
” screen
Tap the "
Limits
" button to go to the editable limits
of the corresponding individual test.
Edit the required limits by touching the corresponding
line.
Example: “
Limits
” following the “
VDE 0701-0702: RPE
” screen
Changed limits are displayed in red font.
Tap the "
Back
" button to go back to the screen of
the corresponding individual test.
Tap the "
Reset
" button to reset all
limits
to the
previously set default limits.
Test values calculated from different
limits
are automatically
determined by the
ST 755/ ST 760
.
For this, refer to the following example calculation.
Example calculation:
(for
RPE
acc. to
VDE
0701-0702
)
o
The preset and admissible resistance value
for a line length of
5 m
is
0.3
Ω
.
o
For each additional line length of
7.5 m
, the admissible
resistance value increases by
0.1
Ω
each.
o
The maximum admissible resistance value is
1.0
Ω
.
If you increase the
limit
of the line length to
12.5 m
, the
appliance tester automatically calculates an admissible
resistance value of
0.4
Ω
.
5 m
(
0.3
Ω
)
+
7.5 m
(
0.1
Ω
)
=
12.5 m
(
0.4
Ω
)
Line lengths of
>50 m
result in an admissible resistance
value of
1.0
Ω
.
5 m
(
0.3
Ω
)
+
45.1 m
(
0.7
Ω
)
=
50.1 m
(
1.0
Ω
)
After entering deviating
limits,
the calculated test values will be
displayed on the screen of the corresponding individual test.
Example: “
VDE 0701-0702: RPE
” screen
Polarity reversal time
Tap the "
Polarity reversal time
" button to go to
the delay time for mains pole reversal.
The delay time of the mains pole reversal is used for test samples
with delayed response characteristics,
e. g. when testing devices with a defined start time.
Delay times from
0 [ms]
to
60,000 [ms]
are admissible.
