Discharging the Patient
Discharging the patient will stop monitoring at the TD60and CMS. After discharging the
patient, the patient’s configuration is cleared at the TD60. The TD60 can admit next new
patient by applying the user configuration. If the TD60 does not save the user configura-
tion, it will apply the default departmental settings for the new patient.
You can discharge the patient by selecting the
Discharge Patient
menu or restarting
the TD60.

Selecting the Discharge Patient menu
1.
In the main menu, tap
Discharge Patient
.
2.
In the
Discharge Patient
confirmation menu, select
Yes
.

The patient is discharged from both the TD60 and the CMS.
◆
The patient’s configuration is cleared and the default departmental settings
are restored.
◆
The discharged patient window of the CMS adds a record of the patient’s
history data.

Press the
key to start monitoring by applying the default departmental set-
tings.

Restarting the TD60
1.
If the TD60 is powered off, press the
key to turn on the device.
The device prompts whether this is a new patient or not.

Select
Yes
to enter the
Discharge Patient
confirmation menu.

Select
Yes
to clear the current patient’s configuration and start monitoring by
applying the user configuration.
If the TD60 does not save the user configuration, it will apply the default depart-
mental settings for the new patient.
NOTE
•
When the TD60 is connected to a CMS, the patient being discharged
from the TD60 is also discharged from the CMS. Refer to the
BeneVision
Central Monitoring System Operator’s Manual
for details.
