f. Allow the sample system pressure to bleed down to atmospheric
pressure (check the pressure gauge). If there is an isolation valve on
the Vent Line, close it (or cap the Vent Line outlet).
If the sample system does not have an isolation valve, Zero gas may
continue to flow. Turn off the Zero gas.
2. From the
Gas Calibration
dialog box, click
AutoZero
to perform an
Auto-Zero
to automatically adjust the analyzer Zero. The Zero Off-
set is adjusted based on the average reading during the
Integration
Timer
duration at the end of the
Auto Calibration Timers
(example,
AZ-0
) countdown.
While the Auto-Zero is in progress, observe the
Signal Level at Zero-
Cal
Reference
and
Differential
values on the
Sensors
screen. After the
Auto-Zero is complete, record these values. Turn off the Zero gas.
3.
Span the analyzer:
a. Remove the Swagelok cap from the Span Gas Connection (Manual
Operation) inlet and connect the span gas cylinder (for the species
being measured).
b. From the
Gas Calibration
dialog box, enter the span gas value (of
the span gas being used) in the
Span Conc
field.
Change
Flow Control
to ‘
5
’ (
sample
).
c. Adjust the Span Gas regulator to the recommended pressure listed
on the Final “As-Built” drawings. The pressure must be less than the
1380 kPag (200 psig) maximum Cell Pressure.
d. Observe the readings from the
Analyzer Data
tab. After they have
stabilized, return to
Calibration
dialog box and click the
ManSpan
button. Confirm the
SFactor
reading has been updated.
Change
Flow Control
to ‘
4
’ (shut in/shut off).
e. Bleed down the span gas and disconnect it from the analyzer.
