Action Buttons

In addition to the 

Save

 button, there are two other action buttons at the top-right 

of the panel: 

Promote Role

, and 

Register

. Their functions are described in the 

sections below:

Promote Role (Slave to Master)

The 

Promote Role

 button at the top-right of the panel, is used to transform 

a slave CC2000 to a master. When you click this button, the change takes 
place automatically, with the former master now becoming a slave, and all 
other online slaves automatically recognizing the new master.

Note:

1. This button is only active on slave units.
2. You must switch to a different page and come back to this one in 

order to see the change.

3. We recommend that all CC2000 servers on the installation be 

online at the time of role promotion. If any slaves are offline at the 
time of role promotion, they must perform the 

Master Settings

 

procedure again. (See

Master Settings

, page 149, for details.) If 

the old master is offline at the time of role promotion, it must 
Register with the new master when it comes back on line. See the
