Programming Command Guidelines
The Status Byte Register contains the following information:
To query the Status Byte Register, send the command
*STB?
.
The response is the decimal sum of the bits which are set to
1
.
For example, if the bit 5 and bit 4 are set to
1
, the decimal sum
of these 2 bits is 48 (32 plus 16) see Figure 4-4 . So the decimal
value 48 is returned.
Standard Event Status Register
The Standard Event Status Register of the Tester is used to
determine the specific event that set bit 5 in the status byte
register as follows:
