The Standard Event Status Register contains the following
information:
To query the Standard Event Status Register, send the
command
*ESR?
. The response is the decimal sum of the bits
which are set to
1
. For example, if the bit 7 and bit 3 are set to
1
,
the decimal sum of these 2 bits is 136 (128 plus 8) see
Figure 4-4 . So the decimal value 136 is returned.
