4. J1 RF Output Connector Remo v al (Option 004)
Refer to Figure 7-20.
CA UTION
T o a v oid damaging the connector, do not disassemble the RF output
connector assem bly . Only unscrew the connector on the end of the cable.
1. Complete \1. Preliminary Steps" b efore con tinuing.
2. Disconnect cable W43 at the directional coupler A30 (or at the step attenuator A31 for
instrumen ts with Option 001).
3. Remo v e the t w o screws from the RF output connector plate on the rear panel.
4. Remo v e the RF connector with cable W43 attached.

Note
When y ou re-attach the connector and cable to the syn thesizer, rst, lo osen
the n ut b et w een cable W43 and the connector. Then p erform the disassembly
steps in rev erse order. Finally , torque the n ut b et w een cable W43 and the
connector J1 to 10 in-lb (112 N-cm).
