16. Cen ter the signal on the sp ectrum analyzer display using the cen ter frequency function.

18. Adjust the in ternal FM deviation on the syn thesizer to minimize the amplitude of the
carrier on the sp ectrum analyzer.
19. Calculate the p ercen tage of error as follows:
Error (%) = [(2.404 MHz 0 New FM Deviation)/2.404 MHz] x 100.
20. Record the error in T able 2-27.
21. T urn o the in ternal FM mo dulation. Select:

22. Repeat steps 15 through 21 at the syn thesizer (and sp ectrum analyzer) frequencies in
T able 2-27.
23. Record the w orst case \In ternal FM Error" (from T able 2-27 ) on the test record.
