Bypassing the P assw ord
If y ou require access to the adjustmen t men u for calibration purp oses, a passw ord is set, and
y ou do not kno w the passw ord, p erform the follo wing:
1. T urn o line p o w er to the syn thesizer.
2. Op en A15S1 switch 5 (set the switch to the " 1 " p osition).
3. T urn on line p o w er to the syn thesizer and press 4

Disable Adjust softkey turns o enabling access to the adjustmen t
men u.
When access to the adjustmen t men u is no longer desired, enable the previously set passw ord.
P erform the follo wing:
4. T urn o line p o w er to the syn thesizer.
5. Close A15S1 switch 5 (set the switch to the " 0 " p osition).
6. T urn on line p o w er to the syn thesizer and press 4

the adjustmen t men u.
If y ou ha v e forgotten the passw ord and wish to set a new one, p erform steps 1 through 3 and
then steps 7 through 10.

On the syn thesizer, select

Disable Adjust .
The follo wing message is display ed: SET PASSWORD: 0
8. En ter the desired passw ord using the n umeric k eypad. Up to 14 n umeric digits are
allo w ed. T erminate the en try b y pressing: 4 ENTER 5.
9. A w arning message is display ed informing y ou that the adjustmen t men us will no longer
b e accessible. T o v erify that y ou do wish to set the passw ord, select
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Yes, Confirm .
10. Another w arning message is display ed informing y ou that the A15S1 switch 5 is set op en.
Complete steps 4 through 6 to close the switch and enable the passw ord.
