Menu Ov erview
The following men u c hoices are display ed:
Calco Utility
This is the instrumen t calibration factors utility . Use it to store and retrieve instrumen t
calibration factors. The follo wing men u c hoices will allo w y ou to en ter and store calibration
factors:
[1] Review CALS in Disk File
[2] Review CALS from UUT W orking CALS
[3] Store UUT W orking CALS to Disk File
[4] Load CALS F rom a Disk File to UUT W orking CALS
[5] Cop y UUT W orking CALS to UUT Protected CALS
[6] Cop y UUT Protected CALS to UUT W orking CALS

This is the p o w er meter conguration utility . Use it to en ter serial n um b ers for the p o w er
sensors whic h are listed in the \Sensor ID" column. F or example, when the program requires
an HP/Agilent 8 48 7D p o w er sensor, it will use the calibration factor data that is stored for
whic hev er p o w er sensor has b een listed in the \Serial" column. If HP/Agilen t 8487A/D p o w er
sensors are used to test syn thesizers with maximum stop frequencies of 26.5 GHz, en ter
their serial n um b ers for the HP/Agilent 8485A/D c hoices. The \Sensor ID" and \Name"
columns iden tify the frequency range and p o w er lev el o v er whic h the p o w er sensor is used.
The HP/Agilen t 8487A/D can substitute for an HP/Agilent 8485D; ho w ev er, the rev erse is
not true.
After y ou select a p o w er sensor, mov e the arrow to \Serial Num b er" and en ter the new serial
n um b er. Then select
NNNNNNNNNNNNNN
DONE .
When the p o w er meter conguration is correct, scroll do wn to selection 17 and sa v e the
conguration data.

This is the p o w er meter calibration factor utilit y . Use it to en ter and store calibration factors
for eac h p o w er sensor. Notice that the test softw are requires calibration factors at 50 MHz
and at one frequency higher than the sp ecied stop frequency of the syn thesizer under test.
T o edit or en ter new calibration factors, select the serial n um b er for the p o w er sensor from the
display ed list. (This list is deriv ed from the p o w er meter conguration utility and the p o w er
sensor m ust already b e en tered in the conguration.) The calibration factors whic h w ere
previously stored will b e loaded and the editing men u will b e display ed.
