Display ControlUnit information (1)
Displays the device name, the serial number, the hardware version, and the firmware
version. This information is required for support requests.
Interrupt connection (2)
Disconnects the connection between aflexConfigurator and control unit. The aflexCon-
figurator opens the start page.
Restart ControlUnit (3)
This button restarts the control unit. The connection must then be re-established.
General release (4)
The aflex controller requires a general release to switch power outputs. This can be
set with a command from the fieldbus interface or the button "General Release" (10).
If the release is set to "0", all power outputs are disabled. The background lighting and
all aflex actuators are switched off. The current release is indicated by the status (1).
If a release exists, this is displayed with "released", otherwise with "inhibit".
Status display: Operating voltage of the ControlUnit (5)
Display the voltage supply of the control unit
Help page(6)
Opens an extract from the manual.
Bootloader Mode (7)
This function is visible from user level "advanced".
The "Bootloader Mode" is used when running software updates on the control unit. If
the "Bootloader mode" is active, there is no communication between the control unit
and the control modules. The aflex is not functional until the bootloader mode is deac-
tivated.
While the control unit is in the bootloader, the status LED in the control unit housing
blinks. The yellow "Connected LED" blinks in the double frequency of the green "Power
LED", the "red error LED" is switched off. A connection of the "aflexConfigurator" to the
aflex control is not possible. For more information on how to use the bootloader, see
the section
Save all Settings (8)
This function is visible from user level "advanced".
To store the current configuration in the permanent (non-volatile) memory of the control
unit, use "Save all Settings to EEPROM" (8). Saving can take several seconds. When
all data has been saved successfully, the red status display to the right of the button
changes to green.
