5.3.8.2 Expansion slots
The cabinet has:
•
14 expansion slots designed for any type of RJ45 card, equipment or processor cards.
•
2 expansion slots designed for IPS or BTX cards.
The expansion cards are connected to a backpanel integrated into the basic cabinet.
The expansion cards, common to the entire Aastra 5000 range, could be plugged on Aastra XD, as
well as the power supply unit and motherboard. The cabinet does not need to be opened, except in
case of intervention on the backpanel or on the connected motherboard.
When an expansion slot is not in use, it can be closed by means of its specific cover.
When an entire column of seven slots is not in use, a column cover is used to close the entire column.
5.3.8.3 Inputs/outputs
The following inputs/outputs are on the IUCV2D interface motherboard’s front panel:
•
1 DB9 connector for the operating console
•
1 RJ45 socket for connecting external on-hold music
•
2 RJ45 sockets for the primary and secondary DECT synchronisation ports
•
1 DB25 connector for alarms and remote controls
•
On UCV1D: 1 RJ45 port for connecting the printer (printer port not active from R5.1). This port
doesn’t exist on UCV2D
The following inputs/outputs exist on the front panel of each UCV2D motherboard:
•
1 DB9 connector for the debug link
•
2 Ethernet ports (10/100 base T)
•
control LEDs
•
1 DB25 connector for the parallel port
•
the NMI/reset buttons
The following inputs/outputs exist on each power supply module, on the cabinet’s front
panel:
•
socket for 220V 50Hz main
The following connector is located at the back side of the cabinet:
•
A connector for expansion cabinet
•
A connector for battery’s link.
