5.4.3.2 Mirroring port – Mirror function
The mirror function allows traces to be made without connecting to the client network and without
having to disconnect the Aastra X Series device from the LAN.
This function is an alternative to DUMPIP. With it there is no need to start the processor resources.
Mirroring may be carried out for:

The CPU. The IP flow to the gateway IP address (AMP, signals, etc.)
•
The EIP. The flow to the IP address of EIP (voice and commands)
•
The LAN. The network IP flow.
All the incoming and outgoing flows of the selection are resent to the mirror port.
Moreover, a twisted cable must be used to connect the capture PC to the ETH2 port.

Download via ISDN
The Aastra range has the HDLC function embedded on its motherboard. This function is used to carry
data on the B channel and, thus, to download the software and applications integrated into the system
via ISDN.
