5.11 Heat emission - estimation of the power emitted by the AX Series
The estimation of the heat emission of the gateways Aastra X Series allows to evaluate the needs of
power of the air conditioning.

Fixed subscribers configuration
main rack + 2 LA16 + 1 LN16 :
main rack + 2 LT2 + 6 LA16 + 6 LN16 :
90W = 307.35 BTU/h
180W = 614.7 BTU /h
DECT configuration
main rack + 1 PT2 + 2 LD4 + 10 DECT :
main rack + 2 LT2 + 10 LD4 + 40 DECT :
110W = 375.25 BTU/h
220W = 751 BTU/h
T DECT configuration
main rack + 1 PT2 + 1 LT2 + 4 DECT :
main rack + 6 LT2 + 4 PT2 + 1 LA16 + 1 LN16 :
105W = 358.575 BTU/h
200W = 683 BTU/h
For AXS full extension rack, add:
For each full extension rack, add:
60W = 204.9 BTU /h
150W = 512.25 BTU/h
5.12 Noise coming from AX Series
Noise coming from the Aastra X Series gateway is from the fan.
As those gateways could be used in an office environment (especially AXS), they have to be
compliant to 3.1 class from ETS 300 753 which means that max noise is 50 dB(A) (test performed 1
meter from the gateway).
In classical use conditions the maximum noise is as follow:
AXS
AX2S
AXL
AX3L
AXD
AX3D
12 dB(A) at 30°C
26 dB(A) at 50°C
15 dB(A) at 30°C
29 dB(A) at 50°C
29 dB(A) 35 dB(A) 32 dB(A) 38 dB(A)
Note: AXD with a single power supply or 2 power supplies needs the same number of fans so the
noise is the same on the both configurations.
