5.3 Hardware architecture
5.3.1
Cabinets, power supplies and motherboards
Aastra X Series gateways are made of:
•
A 19’’ cabinet, with a maximum width of 400 mm; it can be integrated in a rack.
•
A power supply (two, optional, in AXD) 110/230V. The power supply pattern and its power
depend on the type of gateway.
•
A UCV motherboard: Hardware Version UCV1 or UCV2:
•
UCV1 is compatible as from R5.1
•
UCV2 is compatible R5.2 SP3,R5.3 SP1 and R5.4
•
Note: new R5.4 systems include UCV2. On park, the R5.4 is compatible UCV1
(excluding EIP64).
•
Expansion slots: their number depends on the type of cabinet
•
Expansion cabinets to add expansion slots: size and number of cabinets depends on the
type of cabinet.
The expansion slots can be optionally equipped with the expansion cards shown below.
5.3.2
Common cards for Aastra XS, XL, XD
The Aastra XS, XS12, XS6, XL and XD gateways are designed as modular multi-service platforms.
Their configuration is personalised and based on the interfaces described below:
Extension cards (Traditional Subscribers):
LA16X-8
Extension card, used for connecting 8 analogue terminals.
LA16X
Extension card, specific to the Aastra range, used for connecting 16 analogue
terminals.
LN16X-8
Extension card, used for connecting 8 digital terminals.
LN16X
Extension card, specific to the Aastra range, used for connecting 16 digital
terminals.
DL8, DL16
Extension card, specific to the Aastra range, used for connecting 8/16 digital
terminals. Cards with power saving setting a timetable for standby (via AMP).
Cards also compatible with R5.1 and R5.2, but without the possibility to activate
the power saving function.
LH8/LH16-8
Extension card used for connecting 8 analogue hotel terminals (Depaepe or
Teledex). It provides the same functions as the LA8 card with the following
supplementary function: switching on / off a message lamp on the terminal (if a
message has been left) terminal
LH16X
Extension card, specific to the Aastra range, used for connecting 16 analogue
hotel terminals (Depaepe or Teledex). It provides the same functions as the LA16X
card with the following additional function: switching on / off a message lamp on
the terminal (if a message has been left)
LM8
Extension card used for connecting 8 traditional subscribers for analogue (4) and
digital terminals (4).
