UCV2D card daughterboard:
•
Note. In duplex configuration, the number of EIP cards must be duplicated identically on the
two UCV2D motherboards.
5.3.8.5 Expansion cabinet
Two expansion cabinets can be connected to the main cabinet. Each expansion cabinet is connected
thanks to a flexible wire, thus allowing the cabinets to be stacked in a 19’’ rack.
The expansion cabinets have their own redundant ADS350XD power supply units (one or two) and 16
expansion slots each, which only accept the following cards: LA8X, LN8X, LH8, LN16, LA16, LH16X,
DL8 or DL16.
RUCVD card:
The RUCVD card is installed instead of the UCV2D card in the expansion cabinet. There are thus two
RUCVD cards, which provide the duplication of the expansion function. Its main function is to
distribute and monitor the status of the line equipment bus and PCM synchronous trunks at the
positions of the expansion cards.
It includes a control interface for 16 equipment cards and 8 PCM trunks.
5.3.8.6 IUCV2D card
In duplex configuration, the main cabinet of an XD is equipped with two UCV2D cards. The two
UCV2D (active and passive) cards communicate via the IUCV2D card. The IUCV2D card is not
duplicated.
The i-Button dongle
A removable i-button dongle from Dallas Semiconductors (DS-1971) is available on the IUCV2D
motherboard. It is not located on the motherboard as is with other Aastra gateways. It is, therefore,
common to both motherboards.
It is used to store and authenticate the identification number of the Aastra XD. Then it is used for
locking/unlocking optional software functions.
The IUCV2D card supports the external system’s connections:
•
1 removable i-button circuit for storing the PBX ID number used for disabling and enabling the
optional software functions
•
1 operating console connector
•
1 serial port for a printer (printer port not active from R5.1)
•
1 input for a source of external music
•
2 synchronisation ports (primary and secondary DECT)
•
4 alarm inputs and 4 relays (3 remote control one "watchdog" alarm relay each)
Note: If an AXD has been ordered, it is delivered with the corresponding i-button on the IUCV2D card.
A maintenance IUCV2D card is delivered without i-Button.
