new parameters into operation.
When the IP parameters have been received, the Management Module
will reset automatically. No management commands are possible
while the module reboots and self-tests.
The following four fields are repeated four times, once for each data
link layer protocol that can be used by IPX. Set the status field for the
chosen protocol(s) to ENABLE if you are going to use IPX.
IPX Network
This field shows the address of the network for this
protocol. This address is learned automatically from the local IPX
router or NetWare File Server, and you should not need to change it.
Node
This field shows the IPX node address of the management
module, which is learned automatically.
Status
ENABLE

This field shows whether access using the medium-access protocol
is
ENABLEd
. Choose D
ISABLE i
f you wish to prevent access for any
reason, such as security considerations.
If you are not going to use IPX, we recommend that you set the status
field to
DISABLEd
If you run a token ring shared MAC (See

), the Ethernet_802.3 and Ethernet_II data link protocols are
disabled. You may use only Ethernet_802.2 and Ethernet_SNAP data
link protocols.
Data Link Protocol
This field shows the name of the IPX data link
layer protocol.
CANCEL
Press [Return] when the CANCEL button is highlighted if
you wish to abandon this screen and return to the main menu.
OK
Press [Return] when the OK button is highlighted to action your
selections for this screen. You will be returned to the main menu.
