Security -
ENABLED /
DISABLED
This field offers the choice between using or not 3Com’s LAN
Security Architecture feature.
When enabled, the security features are set to:
Auto Learn:
ON for 1 address
Need To Know:

These settings can be changed using a Transcend or SNMP network
manager. The manuals for the application will tell you how.
When disabled, no security features are applied to the port.
Port State -

The default state of a port is enabled. If you do not wish to use a
port set it to disabled to prevent unauthorized access to the
network. You can disable

Link Pulses -
10Base-T STANDARD / NOT STANDARD
This field is applicable to 10Base-T Repeaters only. ‘Not applicable’
will be seen for other types of repeaters.
You can enable or disable the generation of link pulse signals for an
individual port. In an 802.3 10Base-T compliant network leave this
option at the default setting. If you are using non-compliant
transceivers that do not use the link pulse signal, you will need to
disable link pulse to enable the network to function correctly.
Alternatively you can replace non-compliant transceivers with
10Base-T compliant transceivers, such as the ISOLAN TP Transceiver
(3C16810).
Twisted Pair
Shielded/unshielded 10Base-T connection.
Fiber
Synchronous fiber backbone connection.
